Auto museum open in Myrtle Beach area

The Sun News

"I've been chasing a 40-year dream," said Paul Cummings, who opened the Wheels of Yesteryear Auto Showcase at 413 Hospitality, near the Myrtle Beach Speedway, on Wednesday. Cummings said the museum will house more than 50 vintage American-made automobiles and trucks from his collection of more than 100.

He's been collecting them for many years, he said.

"I want to let as many people enjoy them as much as I have through the years. It was time to pull the blankets off them and share," he said.

Cummings and family members, including his wife, Carol, will run the museum, which will be open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Admission varies by age.
